Villa Iria

This classic property is very traditional in style, and is a welcoming home away from home in Quinta do Lago. Overlooking the first fairway of the Pinheiros Altos golf course, the villa has four bedrooms and is a great choice for a family holiday in the Algarve. Follow the large paved driveway up to the house, and an attractive yellow exterior instantly charms you – traditional brown shutters contrast perfectly with bright bougainvillea vines, and a classic white columned porch just beckons you inside.

The house opens out into the large and spacious entrance hall; a sophisticated setting with a black and white marble flooring. There’s a very clean and classy feel to the room – that turn into a homely charm as you enter the separate downstairs living spaces. A green and white combo kitchen is very farmhouse-chic, but includes all the fittings and features of a modern kitchen with a stylish central island, too. The kitchen/dining room leads out onto a covered terrace – while the huge lounge is incredibly inviting with its high thatched ceiling and homely paintings on the walls. Through patio doors, the lounge leads out to a furnished terrace area. More seating and dining tables are dotted around the terrace, and there’s an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, dishwasher and outdoor fridge for added al fresco convenience. Head down  the steps to find the villa’s large private pool – complete with a spacious terracotta patio and plenty of loungers, this charming setting looks out to gorgeous tropical palm shaded views. For accommodation, there are four elegantly styled bedrooms in the villa – two doubles on the ground floor and a king and twin on the first. All rooms include a bathroom or shower room en suite, and three also have access to the terrace or a private balcony. 

Swap the private pool for a day on Quinta do Lago’s golden sands (just 5km away). Or, spend the day exploring Rio Formoso Natural Park, which is just a short 5.5km drive from the villa.
