About the villa

A spacious hideaway in the hills, this comfortably informal villa is set amid sloping lawns and flower banks, with a boules court, a private tennis court nestled in an olive grove, a little play area and bags of space for children to run around. A broad terrace runs the length of the villa, with panoramic views and a pergola shaded dining area, and steps lead down to a sixteen-metre saltwater swimming pool and poolside sun loungers. With vaulted ceilings, rustic roof rafters, and tiled floors scattered with colourful oriental rugs, the villa itself is equally inviting. Furnished in traditional Tuscan country house style, the main house has a modern kitchen; a comfy sitting room and a reading room with desk, sofa and piano, both with doors to the terrace; a TV/playroom, and a first floor loggia room with three arched windows forming fabulous triptych views. Five bedrooms include a triple and a single for youngsters; while the adjacent annexe has its own kitchenette and three bedrooms opening on to the garden. La Sassicaia is just 5km from an adventure park and 15km from town amenities, a sandy beach and seafront restaurants at Cecina.

Please note: Lower occupancy price is applicable for 1-6 people up to 21st June and from 31st August, 7-9 and 10-15 people up to 5th July included and from 31st August. The annexe will remain closed for groups of 9 people or under.
