An ornate fountain adorns the frontage of this graceful house, encircled by sitting areas under leafy shade, and looking across long lawns to the thousand trees of the olive grove. The villa’s peaceful acres also encompass a private tennis court, a trampoline, and a large heated swimming pool, surrounded by a timber sun deck and served by a pool house with shower and open-fronted living room. A gym now occupies the orangerie, the greens of an 18-hole golf course run alongside the grounds, and the picturesque streets of Aix-en-Provence are just 4km away, filled with fountains, cafés and boutiques.
But for pure relaxation, the villa itself is all that is necessary. With king size beds, air conditioning and a sitting room on each floor, the seven bedrooms occupy the upper two storeys of the house. On the ground floor, dining and sitting rooms each look over the gardens and there is a spacious and contemporary kitchen, where cook service could be added. Past and present meet throughout the villa, with modern artworks juxtaposed with antiques and ornate fireplaces.
